New SCT Tool Design Integrates with Jacket Strippers, Expanding Functionality

A host of new features and an entirely new body design bring distinct advantages to users who choose Cable Prep SCT tools. Chief among them, a threaded base enables connection of the new tools to JCS (jacket stripper) tools, so that each SCT tool can now be updated effectively to an “all-in-one” tool. This results in a significant boost in convenience and productivity in the field.

With this added functionality, the new tools also fill out a range of affordability options, with a plastic body (SCT), an aluminum body (SCT-ALU), and the existing All-In-One tool (AIO), which also bevels the center conductor in one operation.

Furthermore, because the new SCT tools can be attached – and stay attached – to an appropriate JCS tool, the task of pairing disparate tool components with each and every stripping operation is eliminated. “Every match is a winner,” as evidenced in our video: “The Jacket Stripper Shell Game,” which dramatizes the uncertainty of reconciling stripping/coring tools with jacket strippers – until now! (Click below to view.)
